Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1784-1799.

Mahogany tall-case clock. The hood has a molded arch pediment with three turned, carved, and fluted ball-and-flame finials on plinths, a fluted keystone, free-standing turned columns at the four corners, and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove molding at the top, and a blocked case door with a applied carved shell at the top. Base with ogee and ovolo molding at the top, a base panel, ogee molding at the bottom and supported on ogee bracket feet. Engraved brass dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, engraved foliate ornament in the spandrels, a moon phase dial in the lunette, and engraved ornament in the lunette arch. Inside the chapter ring there is a seconds dial, a calendar aperture, engraved foliate ornament and the inscription "Seril Dodge." Eight day movement.
